What the work involves

You will translate existing copy, creating 'search engine friendly' text whilst retaining the original meaning. Depending on the client requiring translation, the copy could potentially have a technical or financial subject matter, for which some supplementary research may be necessary. Essential to this role will be close attention to detail to ensure accurate translation.

We could go via agencies and freelance translators for our translation needs, however, our location puts us in the enviable position of being close to one of the top universities in the UK. We have a high regard for students at Exeter University, and have a history of working well with them. This arrangement enables us to work closely with the translator, as they work locally, based from our office. We wish to continue to build upon the skills of the local community via our relationship with the university.

Type of work: Flexible, Part time, approx. 8 - 10 hours per week, ongoing
Location: Office-based, in central Exeter. For the right candidate there may be remote working opportunities, after an in-house training period
